Since Norwest Medical Imaging opened, our referrers have remarked at the exceptional quality of the service that their patients receive. Independently owned and managed by the Radiologists onsite, we are passionate about providing an outstanding radiology service to rival any medical imaging facility available in Australia.
Our proud commitment to state-of-the-art imaging services is exemplified by the comprehensive range of imaging modalities, including a GE Signa 1.5T MRI scanner, a Siemens Definition dual-source CT Scanner, and a GE Hawkeye SPECT Nuclear Medicine System, in addition to x-ray, digital mammography, BMD, OPG and cone-beam dental tomography, ultrasound, Doppler, obstetric/gynaecological imaging and fluoroscopy. A full range of multislice CT services include CT angiography, cardiac CT and virtual colonoscopy.
Our modern ultrasound systems offer examinations not available elsewhere. We offer highly specialised applications such as Nuchal Translucency and Elastography (a leading-edge technology for evaluation of tumours, such as breast carcinoma).
Our group of radiologists are highly trained and experienced in all diagnostic modalities and subspecialties. We also perform a wide range of interventional procedures ranging from breast and thyroid biopsies to musculoskeletal injections and spinal (perineural, epidural and facet joint) interventions, as well as other organ biopsies and drainages. Our dynamic team of doctors are always happy to take phone calls in regard to any aspect of a patients care. We will always endeavour to fit in urgent cases on a same-day basis wherever possible.
At Norwest we have ample parking outside the building and underground. Our reception staff have been handpicked by us, ensuring quality from the moment the patient walks into the practice. Our high quality radiographers include female sonographers who are sensitive to the needs of female patients for specialised women's imaging.
We automatically bulk bill all Pension and Health Care Card holders for Medicare rebateable services, and will always acknowledge every individual request for bulk billing. Our administration staff can also handle all of your workers compensation cases, arranging approvals and dealing with insurance companies for you, making it easier for referrers and the patient.
