Fluoroscopy
Fluoroscopy is an imaging technique which utilizes x-rays to provide detailed information in real time. This means that both anatomical and functional analysis is undertaken. Fluoroscopy has a wide range of applications, which includes gastro intestinal studies, urological studies, reproductive organ studies, musculo skeletal studies and sialography (salivary ducts), to name but a few.
Most examinations are relatively quick to perform, some however may take some hours, such as small bowel studies. Details for each study can be provided upon booking.
Preparation
Details will need to be provided upon booking as each examination may need a particular preparation.
Results
Results are usually available on the afternoon of the examination.
